CASA LILIA
Welcome to Casa Lilia, a little nest for lovers, art and design enthusiasts, red lovers, revolutionaries in the heart of Florence.
This house is a dream of Lapo Becherini and Valentina Guidi Ottobri. It’s her who realized the interior project being inspired by the Renaissance and its ideals such as love and human freedom, the rediscovery of nature, the study of classical masterpieces, creativity of the human intellect.
We hope you can take some time to read a few words in the books on the bookshelves, to look at the brilliant details of the "Garden of Eden", the ceramic work hanging on the wall realized by Marco Bonechi, or to lose yourself in the fantasies of our “Homage to Spring”, the fresco created by Marco Pace which has the Unicorn at its heart. The legendary creature which in the Middle Ages was described as a small animal (representing humility) but invincible. Symbol of nobility and purity, the horn of this animal, just like the pistils of the Lily, from which Casa Lilia takes its name, are considered as "channels of light" capable of inspiring utopian visions of beauty and spirituality.
Both the sculptor Marco Bonechi, who has lived and worked in Figline Val D'Arno for over 50 years, and the painter Marco Pace can be visited in their ateliers by appointment. Contact us to receive more information.
Furthermore, on the IG account @casalilia_florence you will find our city guides:
"GNAM GNAM" for restaurants, bars and pastry shops, "DIN DIN" for the more traditional and eclectic markets, "WAO" for what you really can't miss and “BRUM BRUM” for small trip around Tuscany.
May these be days of great inspirations, smiles and love!
